Dr. Bob Dean
God promised through Isaiah that He “will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast.” (26:3) Isaiah 48:18 teaches that if we obey God’s commands, our peace can be like a river. Jesus said in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.” In Isaiah 26, we learn how to experience God’s peace like a river.

Dr. Bob Dean
In this message, Dr. Dean will share how Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah “will swallow up death forever” (Isaiah 25:8). Paul wrote to Timothy that Jesus has “destroyed death” (2 Timothy 1:10), and Hebrews 2:14-15 states that Jesus has destroyed the devil who holds the power of death to “free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.” What does it mean for the believer that Jesus has destroyed death?

One of the most precious promises in the Bible is the forgiveness of sins. No rational person can deny our need of forgiveness. The gospel promises that salvation through Jesus Christ means eternal life with God in heaven (John 3:16) and the forgiveness of sins (Acts 3:19). How is forgiveness possible? What does it mean that God will remember our sins no more? How should we live because we have received in Christ the forgiveness of sins?

Sunday Jul 08, 2018
Sunday Jul 08, 2018
Dr. Dean shares how Isaiah not only spoke of the virgin birth of Emmanuel (Isaiah 7:14) and the wonderful names of the promised Son of God (Isaiah 9:6), but also described Jesus as the Suffering Servant. He is the Lamb of God who is the sacrifice for our sins. Isaiah 53 is an amazing passage that describes prophetically the crucifixion of Christ. This passage is often quoted in the New Testament. It is a passage that leaves us in awe of our wonderful Savior and Lord.
